By accessing or using Lalaly (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Lalaly is an AI-powered language learning application that provides conversational practice, pronunciation exercises, and immersive learning experiences through AI-generated characters and content.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users under 16 require parental consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service.
Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service beyond normal use.
Harass, abuse, or harm others through the Service.
Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service's security.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, characters, artwork, audio, video, and software within Lalaly are the property of Lalaly or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6. AI-Generated Content

Lalaly uses artificial intelligence to generate learning content, character interactions, and feedback. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. The Service is designed for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole source of language instruction.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription.
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable app store policies.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that learning outcomes will be achieved.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lalaly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Data & Backups

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, Lalaly does not guarantee against data loss. Your learning progress is stored on our servers, but we recommend keeping note of important content outside the app.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lalaly, its founder, and its employees from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from your use of the Service.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify you of significant changes.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Tokyo, Japan.
